Amendment to the Bylaws: The Rain City Symphony bylaws amendment (below) was approved by the Board. The symphony members will be sent a copy of this amendment for approval at the General Meeting November 2, 2016.

Article IX. Nondiscrimination Policy
It is the policy of Rain City Symphony not to discriminate on the basis of race, creed, ancestry, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical disability, veteran’s status, political service or affiliation, color, religion, or national origin.

At the General Meeting Board members will be nominated and voted on by the membership. The officers up for election are Kathy Lillie, Koko Morgan, Linda O’Gara, Kathleen O'Keeffe, Doug Potter, and Bruce Sherman.

Vice-President, Dana: The sectionals need to be better attended. The members will be encouraged to come. The brass and percussion will have rooms at the MCNW for their sectionals.

Venue Coordinator, Gennie: For the Winter Concert the dress rehearsal with the Seattle Girls' Choir will be at the University Christian Church on March 1st.

Development Director: John submitted the King County 4Culture Grant for this year.

Other: The string members are interested in having refreshments and snacks available for the breaks. Aki will be asked to coordinate refreshments.
